WHAT IS A DAO?
A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), is a member-owned community with no centralized authority. DAOs operate on public blockchains (most of the time), allowing a community of like-minded enthusiasts to collaborate and vote on how a project should operate. A DAO enables a group to raise funds, share ideas, and build an equitable organization where everyone has a say. DAOs offer decentralization, security, transparency and community governance to assist in the development and progression of projects.
WHY A DAO?
What we love about the structure of a DAO is that it enables our team to come together to achieve goals that are outside of the scope of traditional companies. DAOs can facilitate and automate the transparent distribution of funds and financial rewards for a member's contribution. At Zaya, we aim to be able to provide a system where contributors (community members that can be financially rewarded for contributing to Zaya projects and tasks) can be incentivized and rewarded for their contributions. As a DAO, our goal is to create an open and mutually beneficial system where each member knows the reasons for each decision that affects them. By being a DAO, we remove many of the hierarchical hurdles and bureaucratic obstacles that prevent innovation within our community.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
We are currently looking for core members who feel called to be a part of our mission to help raise awareness of the importance of nature for our health and well-being.
As a core member, you have the opportunity to be a part of a global movement that is working to restore the earth by deepening our relationship with it. By sharing the healing potential of plants, fungi, and psychedelic plant medicines, we are pushing to raise awareness of the value of these medicinal plant properties and the symbiotic relationship we share with them. As a contributor you can take part in facilitating social events, creating educational content, or helping us to build partnerships with like-minded organisations.
We would love to connect with you if you have a background or interest in:
Holistic Health & Wellness (Eastern Medicine, herbalism, psychedelics & other holistic modalities)
Decentralised Science (ethnobotany, mycology, ecology)
